Position Summary

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the overall performance of the warehouse team assigned to them.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Manage, train, develop, and provide performance feedback to direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and safety.Achieve warehouse performance objectives (KPI’s).Plan for and direct warehouse operations to include production and labor planning for on time execution. Enforce operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling merchandise, and maintaining inventory.Ensure operations team follows standard operating procedures (SOP’s).Enforce safety policies and warehouse sanitation.Provide incident and near miss support, including investigations, root causes and corrective actions. Match the skill and background of personnel to the work required.Assures that customer accounts receive prompt, efficient service.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of three years of supervisor experience.
• Understanding of the public refrigerated warehouse industry.
• Working knowledge of the functions of material handling equipment (forklifts, fall protection, battery chargers, etc.)
• Advanced understanding of OSHA and EPA regulations and requirements.
• Experience with continuous quality improvement processes.
• Experience managing, training, and developing people in operational roles.
• Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills including the ability to interact with internal and external customers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload with demonstrated organizational skills.
• Ability to lead team meetings.
• Strong conflict management skills.
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -10 Fahrenheit and lift 75 pounds.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including evenings and weekends, if needed.
