Inventory Control Cycle Counter (1st and 3rd shift)

POSITION SUMMARY 

The Cycle Counter is responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all items are properly verified and reflective of reported inventory. This role involves maintaining inventory accuracy through proper counting, and inventory transfers. The Cycle Counter will also assist various departments in locating items. 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Conduct daily or weekly counts of selected items to ensure no discrepancy between system data and physical stock. 

• Ensure all items are properly verified and accurately reflected in the inventory system through detailed and meticulous counting. 

• Perform cycle counts, monitored by the Inventory Control Supervisor. 

• Research inventory discrepancies and submit accurate inventory and location reports. 

• Assist in determining root causes of inventory discrepancies and help implement corrective actions to eliminate repetitive errors. 

• Assist with Inventory Control Clerk duties as needed. 

• Follow all safety rules and regulations. 

• Maintain a clean and organized work area. 

• Operate warehouse equipment such as order pickers safely. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES) 

• 6 months to 1 year of inventory experience in a warehouse or similar environment 

• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tedious, repetitive tasks with accuracy and consistency. 

• Self-motivated and able to work independently without direct supervision or a lead on duty. 

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook. 

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. 

• 6 months to 1 year of forklift operation experience, ideally with standup lifts. 

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. 

• Ability to squat, sit, stand, walk, and reach daily as needed to perform all job functions. 

• High School Diploma or equivalent. 

• Must follow procedures, best practices, and report unsafe or unprofessional behavior.
