What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recording Studio Intern position at Ice Cream Sound LLC?
📍Downtown Los Angeles & North Hollywood | ⏰ 2 days/week, 8 hour shifts
ABOUT US:
We’re a recording studio committed to empowering artists and creatives with top-tier sound, true creative freedom, and exceptional service, with state-of-the-art facilities in both Downtown Los Angeles and North Hollywood.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
The internship is a six-month, unpaid program designed to provide hands-on, educational experience that helps candidates grow professionally. Interns will be scheduled at either of our two locations in Downtown Los Angeles or North Hollywood. The program offers valuable opportunities to learn how our studio operates, refine technical and creative skills, and integrate into our team’s processes.
Interns can focus on areas they are most passionate about, whether it's audio engineering, music production, studio gear, or other aspects of the creative and technical process. Day-to-day responsibilities, such as studio organization, runs, troubleshooting, and assisting with sessions, are structured to provide practical learning experiences under mentorship.
In addition, interns gain insight into the music business and opportunities to build professional connections. All of our engineers and studio team members have gone through this internship program, as it is a required starting point. Interns who demonstrate skill and confidence may be invited to take the next step upon completing the internship.
