Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business through strategic prospecting, networking, and relationship-building
- Build and manage a healthy pipeline of qualified sales opportunities
- Identify customer pain points and deliver customized logistics and freight forwarding solutions
- Lead consultative sales conversations with decision-makers across target industries
- Collaborate closely with operations to ensure solutions are aligned with customer expectations
- Close profitable businesses and transition accounts into long-term partnerships
- Grow existing customer relationships to expand account value over time
- Represent ICAT Logistics Detroit professionally at meetings, networking events, and industry engagements
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasting, and pipeline activity
Job Requirenents
- Minimum 3 years of experience in freight forwarding, transportation, or logistics
- salesProven success in developing new business in a hunter-style sales environment
- Strong understanding of domestic transportation, international freight forwarding, and supply chain solutions
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable managing a sales territory independently
- Experience using CRM software to manage the pipeline and activity
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment near Detroit, MI
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing book of business or established network within automotive, manufacturing, industrial, defense, or technology sectors
- Experience selling international air/ocean freight, customs brokerage, project freight, or specialized logistics solutions
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
Compensation & Benefits
- Expected first-year earnings: $200,000–$250,000 based on performance
