What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Technician position at Icarus?
At Icarus, we build solar-powered drones that fly at the edge of space for a very long time. This isn’t a job for spectators. You will work closely alongside the CEO to build, fabricate, wire, and assemble real flight hardware from day one. Power systems, batteries, avionics, structures, controls, and more. We want builders. No hand-holding. No fluff. No fake projects. Just raw engineering with flight on the line. You must thrive under pressure, figure things out without being told how, and push hardware to the limits. We move fast. We go to Mojave at 4 in the morning. We expect results. We are looking for a master fabricator to be our most senior hands-on builder. You will be core executor of our product production You will partner with the rest of the engineering team to ensure that the product can be taken from concept to reality while ruthlessly prioritizing speed of execution and aiding in the bring up of production capabilities
Compensation: $120k-$190k depending on experience, plus equity
