About Motiv Sports North America

At Motiv Sports North America, we don't just produce endurance events—we create unforgettable experiences that inspire people to move, connect, and achieve something extraordinary.

From the iconic streets of San Francisco to the California coastline and world-renowned wine country, our portfolio of races brings together hundreds of thousands of runners, walkers, volunteers, and supporters each year. Every event has its own unique personality, but they all share one purpose: building communities through movement.

We're a fast-moving, collaborative team that values creativity, innovation, and authenticity. If you're passionate about storytelling, digital marketing, and the running industry, we'd love to meet you.

Meet Your Future Team

You'll join a passionate Brand & Marketing team responsible for shaping the voice and growth of some of North America's most recognizable endurance events.

Working closely with our Creative team, agency partners, and cross-functional stakeholders, you'll help bring campaigns to life across social media, email, partnerships, and community activations. We move quickly, collaborate often, and believe the best ideas come from people who are willing to roll up their sleeves and make things happen.

About the Role

We're looking for a digital-first Marketing Lead who lives and breathes social media, understands how to build engaged communities, and knows what resonates with runners.

This role owns the day-to-day marketing execution across a portfolio of events, with a focus on social media, email marketing, community engagement, and content creation. You'll play a key role in growing our audiences, driving registrations, and bringing each event's personality to life through compelling storytelling.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy wearing multiple hats, and get excited about creating content from the start line to the finish line, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

Social Media & Content

  • Own the digital presence for a portfolio of endurance events across North America.
  • Plan, create, schedule, and publish engaging content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other relevant platforms.
  • Capture and create mobile-first content including Reels, Stories, behind-the-scenes moments, and race-day highlights.
  • Source, curate, and amplify user-generated content that reflects the authenticity of our communities.
  • Ensure all content aligns with each event's unique brand identity and marketing objectives.

Email Marketing

  • Build, segment, and deploy email campaigns using Mailchimp.
  • Develop engaging customer journeys that improve open rates, click-through rates, and registrations.
  • Collaborate on campaign planning, promotional calendars, and audience segmentation strategies.

Community & Partnerships

  • Foster active, engaged online communities by responding to comments, messages, and customer inquiries.
  • Build relationships with run clubs, ambassadors, influencers, and brand partners to expand event reach and community engagement.
  • Support partnership activations across digital channels.
  • Travel to key events throughout North America to capture content and support marketing activations.
  • Lead local run club activations and community engagement initiatives.
  • Work alongside photographers, videographers, and event teams to ensure content is captured and delivered efficiently.
  • Performance & Collaboration
  • Monitor campaign performance and provide actionable insights using social and email analytics.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve engagement, audience growth, and registration performance.
  • Collaborate across Marketing, Operations, Partnerships, Customer Experience, and Creative to deliver integrated campaigns.
  • Manage campaign workflows and timelines using Monday.com or similar project management software.

What You'll Bring

  • 4–5 years of experience in digital marketing, with a strong focus on social media, email marketing, and community management.
  • Genuine passion for the running, endurance, or active lifestyle industry.
  • Proven ability to create engaging short-form content across Instagram, TikTok, and other social platforms.
  • Experience building and deploying email campaigns using Mailchimp.
  • Experience using social media scheduling, reporting, and analytics platforms.
  • Proficiency with Monday.com or similar project management software.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • A collaborative mindset, positive attitude, and willingness to jump in wherever needed.
  • Portfolio of relevant social content or marketing campaigns.
