Role Overview

Your role and responsibilities

The Supplier Relationship Manager plays a key role in managing supplier partnerships for a multi-billion dollar federal acquisition program.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure delivery of high-quality goods and services
• Communicate program requirements and expectations clearly to suppliers and ensure alignment with contractual obligations
• Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and metrics, and identify areas for improvement
• Identify and mitigate supplier-related risks such as non-compliance, insolvency, or supply disruptions
• Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and Federal client personnel to resolve issues and ensure continuity of critical services
• Support audits, documentation, and milestone events throughout the acquisition lifecycle
  
  

Preferred Education

Master's Degree

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of related work experience, or a master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years, or a PhD with up to 4 years of related experience
• Proven track record in supplier relationship management and contract performance oversight
• Strong understanding of federal acquisition regulations and contracting vehicles
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, contracting, and technical stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical audiences
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal security clearance with the U.S. government
  
  

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• A minimum of 3 years of experience supporting supplier performance in federal acquisition environments
• Familiarity with supply chain risk management strategies and mitigation planning
• Experience using procurement systems or supplier management tools
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret supplier KPIs and performance data
• Ability to build and maintain long-term supplier partnerships in complex program environments
