Your Role And Responsibilities
As an IBM Z Design, User Research, or Technical Content Professional Intern, your focus will be on meeting individual and team objectives, learning your craft, and contributing to the research, design, and/or content development of a product. You will learn about IBM, IBM Design practices, and the impact of content on the user experience. Generally, your efforts will be focused on a single product within your business area, with guidance and feedback from more senior team members. You will also contribute to the design community and our broader content ecosystem by supporting community activities, sharing knowledge, learning, and helping maintain aspects of the community’s operations.
As designers, researchers, and content developers, we focus on ensuring that the experiences we create meet the needs of our customers and end users, while striving for excellence in our work. You will apply a user-centered perspective to your work and advocate for the customer/end user in all interactions with your teammates and colleagues. At times, you may also engage with customers or other users of the product as part of the design, research, or content development process.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Actively enrolled in college/university
- Creativity and flexibility to adapt to new scenarios
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience working on enterprise information technology (business to business), and enterprise technology personas or archetypes.
- Experience with Enterprise Design Thinking by IBM or other design thinking frameworks
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, confident working within a cross-functional team and various levels
- Familiarity with IBM Z product stack
- User Experience/Research intern: Demonstrated knowledge of User Experience design
- User Experience/Research intern: Ability to perform UX research for software products or Web
- Content Development intern: Experience developing, editing, and producing accurate technical documentation using XML, DITA and shared source repositories such as GitHub
- Content Development intern: Knowledge of Native AI solutions for creating structured content
- Skilled in UI development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JSON and API usage
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
- Ability to build responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces
- Experience implementing reusable component libraries and design systems
Salary : $75,600 - $138,600
