Under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Language Services or designee, the Interpreter provides English/Spanish interpretation services to individuals for whom interpretation services have been requested by community organizations under contract with Ibero.

- Provide professional and accurate English/Spanish interpretation services to assigned individuals without jeopardizing the assigned duties of their main position at an Ibero program.
- Arrive at appointments on time and preferably 10-15 minutes before the appointment or as requested by the requestor.
- Wait for at least 15 minutes after the appointment time and inform the supervisor if the requestor did not arrive for the interpretation.
- Abide by the Code of Ethics for interpreters and confidentiality policies.
- Maintain the fidelity of the original messages and respect for the importance of culture and cultural differences
- Submit a bi-weekly timecard in Paylocity on a timely fashion.
- Attends formal and informal staff meetings and training sessions in/outside the agency.

- Fully bilingual in Spanish and English.
- A valid N.Y.S. driver license.
- Ability to work when appointments are scheduled and periodically travel for training seminars.
- A combination of training and experience other than the specified, if judged to be adequate for the job, may be accepted by the President and CEO
