IMC is currently hiring a Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) on a Full Time basis. Under the general supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Director, this person applies the Respiratory Care process ( assessment, planning , intervention and evaluation ). Effectively interacts with patient, significant others, and other health team members, while maintaining standards of professional Respiratory Care. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psycho / social, education, safety and related criteria for the neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric population.
EDUCATION:
High School Graduate Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory School
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:
Current license as a Certified Respiratory Therapist or Certified Eligible Therapist. Current license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or Registry Eligible Therapist. Current CPR Certification. (Infant, Child and Adult)
TRAINING/EXPERIENCE/JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Previous experience preferred, but not required Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology Thorough knowledge of all respiratory procedures

Administration of respiratory medications. Oxygen therapy. Arterial Blood Gases Electrocardiogram Ventilator management Pulmonary Function Study Airway management Chest Physiotherapy Troubleshooting equipment Proper chart documentation Patient Education Patient Confidentiality Care plan of patient Cleaning of equipment Hospital policies & procedures Department policies & procedures Adhere to standards of performance Age specific competencies Annual in-service
