Fashion Technical Designer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Fashion Technical Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of garment construction, fit, measurements, and production and can work closely with our design and production teams to take styles from initial development through final production.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain detailed tech packs, including specifications, construction details, measurements, and garment callouts
- Conduct garment fittings and provide clear fit comments and corrections
- Measure samples and ensure garments meet approved specifications
- Review and approve development, fit, pre-production, and production samples
- Communicate technical corrections clearly to factories and vendors
- Identify fit, construction, and quality issues and recommend solutions
- Maintain accurate size specifications, grading, and measurement charts
- Work closely with the Design, Production, and Merchandising teams to ensure styles are production-ready
- Track sample revisions and maintain organized technical records
- Ensure consistency of fit, construction, and quality across styles and collections
- Assist with fabric, trim, and construction evaluations as needed
- Meet development and production deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Technical Designer in the fashion/apparel industry
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit, patternmaking, and grading
- Experience creating and updating tech packs and specification sheets
- Strong garment measuring and fitting skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with domestic and overseas factories
- Ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines simultaneously
- Knowledge of apparel production processes from development through bulk production
Compensation & Benefits
- $45,000–$55,000 annual salary, based on experience
