Job Summary
The Enterprise Account Executive, Strategic Accounts is responsible for driving new revenue and expanding strategic relationships with large, complex organizations, including Forbes Global 2000 companies. This role owns the full sales cycle—prospecting, discovery, solution selling, and close—for IAPP memberships, certifications, training, events, advertising, and sponsorships.
This is a hunter-oriented role suited for a self-directed seller who excels at opening new accounts, navigating multiple buying centers, and positioning solutions as long-term strategic investments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle sales for net-new and existing enterprise accounts
- Prospect and build pipeline through outbound efforts (calls, email, social, referrals, and events)
- Grow existing accounts by consulting with clients on certification, training, and membership offerings
- Engage senior stakeholders across privacy, legal, compliance, audit, security, and risk functions
- Apply a consultative, value-based sales approach grounded in privacy, AI governance, and cyber law
- Accurately manage pipeline, forecasting, and activity tracking in Salesforce
- Represent IAPP at industry conferences and events to generate new leads
- Partner with Marketing, Sales Operations, and Events to execute campaigns and sponsorships
- Manage territory, time, and expenses with discipline and focus on high-value opportunities
- Ability to travel, including internationally

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year College or university; and three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
