Position Summary

The Behavioral Healthcare Provider delivers, coordinates, and evaluates behavioral healthcare services to support clients' mental, emotional, behavioral, and overall well-being. This position applies behavioral and biomedical science principles to the prevention, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges.

The provider develops and implements individualized treatment plans, coordinates interdisciplinary care, delivers crisis intervention, and supports clients with complex needs. This role may also provide leadership and guidance to lower-level behavioral healthcare providers while collaborating with healthcare professionals, community agencies, and other support services to ensure effective, coordinated care.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on client assessments, identified needs, and treatment goals.
• Coordinate client admissions, assessments, evaluations, treatment planning, and ongoing care throughout the treatment process.
• Provide behavioral healthcare interventions and crisis support for clients with acute, complex, or multiple behavioral health needs.
• Assess client progress and adjust treatment approaches, intervention techniques, and procedures as needed.
• Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of behavioral healthcare programs, treatment systems, and departmental objectives.
• Serve as a lead worker or provide guidance and direction to lower-level behavioral healthcare providers, as assigned.
• Evaluate staff performance related to the administration of prescribed treatment plans and support compliance with established procedures.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential client records, treatment documentation, and required reports in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams, healthcare professionals, and community partners to coordinate services and promote continuity of care.
• Establish and maintain relationships with public and private agencies, healthcare facilities, and community support organizations to facilitate referrals and follow-up services.
• Participate in staff training, treatment team meetings, departmental meetings, and policy and procedure reviews.
• Apply evidence-based behavioral healthcare practices and appropriate intervention strategies within the scope of professional credentials and licensure.
• Promote client safety, recovery, stability, and improved functioning through individualized, coordinated care.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Appropriate education, credentials, certification, and/or licensure required for the assigned behavioral healthcare discipline.
• Must hold LISW or LPCC licensure
• Experience in behavioral healthcare, mental health services, treatment planning, crisis intervention, or a related field, as applicable to the position.
• Knowledge of behavioral health assessment, treatment interventions, care coordination, and client support services.
• Ability to work effectively with clients experiencing complex behavioral, emotional, or mental health challenges.
• Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external service providers.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
• Leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience may be required for positions involving lead-worker responsibilities.
