Hybrid (Remote) with up to 30% travel to industry sites, partner locations, and events

DESCRIPTION
IACMI - The Composites Institute®, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Workforce Internship Coordinator to provide organizational support to the IACMI Workforce Development team. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is tech-savvy, well-organized, and a self-starter who enjoys working on a team focused on impacting the lives of individuals and communities through manufacturing education and training. The candidate will aid in troubleshooting and other supporting correspondence needed for ongoing program success.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and placement of interns with IACMI member/host companies
- Serve as the primary liaison between interns, member/hosts, and training providers
- Develop internship opportunities with IACMI member companies and manage program timelines and communications
- Build and maintain strong relationships with IACMI member/host companies
- Define internship roles, expectations, and outcomes with member/hosts
- Serve as the primary point of contact and support engagement across the internship career progression
- Monitor intern progress, track performance and skill development, and address challenges
- Support intern professional development through workshops, tours, and training opportunities
- Coordinate logistics including onboarding, orientations, site visits, and events
- Maintain program records, documentation, and internship data using CRM/project tools (e.g., Monday.com)
- Track program metrics and outcomes, collect feedback, and support reporting and program evaluation
- Support development of talent pipelines and connect interns to full-time opportunities with IACMI member companies
- Represent IACMI at events and promote careers in advanced manufacturing
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in workforce development, education, or related field
- 3 years of experience in program coordination, internships, or workforce development
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with industry partners or member-based organizations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools (e.g., Monday.com)
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel up to 30%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with manufacturing companies or industry member organizations
- Experience managing internship or workforce development programs
- Sales, recruiting, or partnership development experience
- Existing relationships within manufacturing or workforce networks
- Experience with CRM systems and data tracking
