Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and support PLC and Safety PLC systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, GuardLogix) and HMI systems (Wonderware/AVEVA, PanelView).
- Diagnose and repair 480VAC three-phase systems, 120VAC circuits, and 24VAC/VDC control circuits.
- Maintain industrial robots, vision systems, motors, drives, and instrumentation (flow meters, load cells, etc.).
- Serve as a subject matter expert for operations and engineering teams; document all hardware/software modifications and maintain control system records.
- Support initiatives aimed at improving plant efficiency and ensuring compliance with safety standards and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 5 years of plant technical experience OR 3 years of relevant experience plus a 2-year technical degree.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and programming PLCs/Safety PLCs using ladder logic, sequencer programming, and Add-On Instruction (AOI) blocks.
- Ability to read/interpret electrical schematics and a deep understanding of industrial electrical systems.
- Willingness to work 3rd shift, weekends, and overtime as required.
Preferred
- Associate Degree in Electrical Technology, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Experience with Wonderware/AVEVA System Platform and Microsoft SQL databases.
- Basic understanding of Cisco networking/industrial LAN and CAD drawing modifications.
