Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Plaintiff Personal Injury Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law and possess excellent research and writing skills. This role involves assisting attorneys in preparing cases for litigation, conducting legal research, and managing case files. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in legal drafting and have experience with legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in the preparation of personal injury cases for trial, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Manage case files, including organizing documents, maintaining calendars, and tracking deadlines.
- Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates on case status, and respond to inquiries.
- Prepare trial exhibits and assist attorneys during trial proceedings.
- Collaborate with experts, witnesses, and other professionals as needed for case preparation.
- Stay updated on developments in personal injury law as well as related areas such as family law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, environmental law, and workers' compensation law.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Plaintiff personal injury litigation experience
- Familiarity with personal injury law is required; experience in other areas such as estate planning, litigation, tribal law & regulations, patent law, or securities law is a plus.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in legal research tools (LexisNexis, Westlaw) is necessary for effective case management.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
