*Job Summary*
The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Worker plays a vital role in our outpatient mental health center's Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program. This position involves providing direct care and support to clients with mental health conditions, facilitating their recovery journey, and assisting them in achieving their personal goals. The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Coordinator operates within the guidelines of COMAR regulations and our center's policies to ensure the safety, well-being, and progress of our clients.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITES
· Collaborate with the treatment team to develop, implement, and re-evaluate Individualized Treatment Rehabilitation Plans (ITRPs) for clients.
· Complete intake process, including intake consent and assessment.
· Provide support to clients in the development of daily living skills, socialization, and community integration.
· Conduct assessments and ongoing evaluations of clients' progress towards their rehabilitation goals.
· Deliver structured group sessions focused on skill-building, coping strategies, and life management.
· Facilitate psychoeducation sessions on topics such as coping skills, stress management, and symptom recognition.
· Document all interactions and interventions in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to COMAR regulations and center's documentation policies.
· Foster a safe and respectful environment for clients, addressing any conflicts or safety concerns promptly.
· Monitor and support clients' medication compliance, as directed by medical staff.
· Collaborate with family members and external agencies to ensure holistic care and community integration.
· Participate in regular supervision, team meetings, and training to enhance skills and stay updated on best practices.
· Maintain a working knowledge of the center policies and best practices in psychiatric rehabilitation.
· Attend minimum of 80% of monthly staff meetings (equivalent to attending 9 of 12 meetings/year).
· Attend weekly interdisciplinary meetings when required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor's degree in a related field (Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, etc.) preferred.
· High school diploma or GED equivalent
· Minimum of 2 year’s direct care experience working with mental health client population if without degree
· Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
· Empathetic, patient, and compassionate attitude towards clients' unique challenges and journeys.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
