SUMMARY
The Service Greeter is a high energy job that requires handling multiple tasks and responsibilities. The key to performing successfully in this position is changing your speed to meet the level or urgency and prioritizing tasks. Priority should always go towards taking care of guests. Service greeter will also need to fill other dealership roles in times of need, such as Service consultant, shuttle driver and receptionist.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Promptly greets service customers in a friendly, courteous, and outgoing manner.
- Confirms appointment time and appointments concerns in a timely and courteous manner.
- Performs vehicle walk around inspections, making recommendations for vehicle based on detailed walk around. Also checks vehicles for any damage or any other items that may need to be addressed.
- Maintains cleanliness in service lane.
- Stages vehicle for service techs and in designated stalls.
- Parking and retrieving customer vehicles.
- Shuttles customers as per Service Department procedures.
- Works with customers who need assistance with vehicle functions and technology.
- Ensures that the employee completes and remains current with all mandatory safety compliance, safeguards, and cybersecurity training.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Assist with washing and detailing customer and company vehicles when needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Service Manager or COO.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
WORK HOURS:
- Regular operational hours of the Service Department.

Manufacturer Training
Driving is essential to this position, must have a current and maintain a Valid Driver’s License and clean driver’s abstract
