What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Sink Installation Specialist position at I Hate My Sink?
Before You Apply
This position is intended for experienced tradespeople.
If you have little or no experience using hand / power tools or performing residential installations, this position is likely not the right fit.
If you enjoy working with your hands, solving challenges, taking pride in your craftsmanship, and contributing to a team that values quality over speed, we'd like to hear from you.
Build a Career with I Hate My Sink
At I Hate My Sink, we specialize in premium kitchen sink installations and countertop solutions for homeowners throughout Florida, with national expansion in progress. We're looking for skilled, dependable installation technicians who take pride in quality workmanship, enjoy solving problems in the field, and thrive in a team environment.
This position is best suited for someone with experience using hand and power tools, performing precision measurements, and installing in residential environments. Previous experience with sink installations, countertop installations, cabinetry, or stone fabrication is highly preferred. Plumbing experience is a bonus but not required.
If you're looking for a company that values quality craftsmanship, rewards high performance, and provides continuous opportunities for professional and personal growth, we'd like to meet you.
What You'll Do
Template and lay out sink cutouts with tape measure, framing square, and tape.
Square and lock a track system, then cut granite, quartz, quartzite, and marble with a track-mounted saw.
Core cutout corners with a polisher and diamond core bit.
Wet-polish cut edges through a full pad and cup-wheel progression, then seal, tone, and wax.
Set, clamp, level, and secure sinks with undermount straps or top-mount clips.
Install relevant accessories — faucets, disposals, instant-hot taps, and filtration systems.
Break down and rebuild drain systems, replace P-traps, reconnect supply lines, and leak-test every install.
Handle countertop repairs and finishing work, including chip and crack repair.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, and communicate professionally with homeowners while representing the company.
