Social Media Manager

I AM MENtality Youth Male Empowerment Project was founded in January of 2016 to provide leadership development mentoring for male youth. The organization mission is centered in supporting male youth and families with overcoming the obstacles that traditionally prevent youth leaders in Baltimore from living healthy overall lives.

Supporting the youth’s ability to overcoming barriers to financial success through financial literacy training. Aiding youth in developing the necessary skills to become more marketable and a valuable asset to the workforce. Lastly, we exist to position youth with leadership mindset that will lend them to transforming their lives and the lives of others resulting in the transformation of the world.

The model in which we engage is called the I AM MENtality Leadership Academy. Within the leadership academy we offer group, peer-to-peer, individual and virtual mentoring engaging all types of learners. We offer developmental training around the topics of leadership development, workforce development, financial literacy and health and wellness. Our organization is also mental health focused and has licensed clinicians that provide mental wellness centered training and provide therapy for the youth and their families.

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for cultivating a social media following and promoting I AM MENtality's brand.

This person will be responsible for creating content and campaigns that higlight I AM MENtality's youth engagement and outcomes.

The Social Media Manager will have the opportunity to engage with I AM MENtality's stakeholders on social media platforms.

Position Impact:

• Increase online engagement and following
• Develop marketing and donor engagement strategies

Essential Functions of Position:

• Analyze current media and marketing plan to detemine goals and recommendations for continuous improvement
• Use social media platforms to develop and implement marketing strategies, campaigns, and engaging content
• Engage stakeholders on all social media platforms
• Develop and implement donor engagement strategies

Position Requirements:

Candidate must:

• Be eligible for hire; be a U.S. Resident or Lawful Permanent Resident
• Must pass a criminal and sex offender background check
• Prior experience in marketing and social media management
• Must be able to use and have access to reliable internet
• Ability to work independently
• Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, and be self-motivated

Required Academic and Experience Qualifications:

• Proven work experience with teams, diverse stakeholders, and independently.
• Experience using CRM databases, social media platforms, and website/content creation platforms.
• Must be fluent in Microsoft Office, Google suite, and virtual meeting platforms.
• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• Bachelors in Marketing and communications preferred.

Schedule & Compensation:

• Part time, 12-18 hours per week
• $1300-$1500

Base Pay: $1,300.00 - $1,500.00 per month
