Light Duty Tow Operator

Duties

• Safely operate light-duty tow trucks, mainly flatbeds, but also any other light duty recovery vehicles to tow or transport vehicles of varying sizes.
• Load, unload, and secure vehicles using appropriate equipment such as straps and chains to ensure safe transport.
• Assist customers with roadside needs by providing excellent customer service, clear communication, and professional support.
• Manage conflict situations calmly and effectively, ensuring positive interactions even under stressful circumstances.
• Maintain detailed logs of all towing activities, vehicle conditions, and operational reports for accountability and safety compliance.
• Conduct routine inspections of tow trucks and related equipment to ensure optimal functioning and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Valid class E driver’s license with a clean driving record is required; commercial driving experience is highly preferred.
• Must pass pre employment drug and alcohol screening.
• Minimum age requirement 23 years of age due to our company's insurance standard.
• Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with automotive terminology preferred
• Experience operating tow trucks or similar heavy-duty equipment is advantageous.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members.
• Ability to load & unload vehicles efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
