Job Overview
The Assistant Human Resource Manager has a significant role in providing guidance of Company Policies and Procedures in multiple Human Resource disciplines including but not limited to: recruitment, compensation, training, and performs a wide variety of highly responsible professional generalist duties in the areas of recruitment, selection, compensation, employee development and training, and/or other human resource functions. Work is performed in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, but can involve some exercise of independent judgement in formulating recommendations to leadership and in applying procedures and guidelines.
Role qualifications:
· Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, or related field preferred.
· Professional in Human Resources (PHR or SHRM) certification preferred.
· A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resource Generalist position.
· Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labor relations, preferred.
Essential skills and experience:
· Excellent organizational management skills.
· Demonstrated ability to lead and develop HR department staff members.
· Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills.
· Knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, recruitment, organization development, employee relations, safety, employee engagement, and employee development.
· Ability to make sound and factual judgement in all areas of Human Resources decisions and recommendations.
Position responsibilities:
· Provide and oversee employee relations support, including employee and management counseling and issues facilitation.
· Maintain good Team Member relations responding in a timely manner to employee concerns.
· Conduct investigations to address employee concerns and make recommendations to improve overall Human Resource function.
· Enforce company policy with employees as necessary in coordination with the Human Resource Manager.
· Assisting in preparation and conducting training programs to all levels of employees that communicate established corporate practices and benefits (e.g. new hire orientation, open enrollment), legal requirements (e.g. safety, sexual harassment), personal or career enhancement opportunities, or work improvement methods (e.g. team building, conflict resolution).
· Administer employee benefits including but not limited to Medical, Dental, Vision, life insurance benefits, COBRA, and FMLA to ensure compliance with all labor and legal government reporting requirements.
· Attend HR related functions outside of HYUNDAI STEEL.
· Establishes and leads the standard recruiting and hiring practices and procedures necessary to recruit and hire a superior workforce.
Pay: $63,000.00 per year
