Currently, we are spearheading a historic $5.8 billion integrated steel mill project in Donaldsonville, Louisiana. As the primary force behind this landmark development, we are building the first integrated electric arc furnace (EAF) facility in the U.S., delivering world-class industrial infrastructure on a global scale.
To drive this monumental vision forward, we are seeking a Human Resources Associate to join our team and contribute to the technical excellence of this landmark facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Management: Execute end-to-end payroll processing for local employees, including wage calculation, tax withholdings, and benefits deductions.
- Time & Attendance: Monitor and audit site-specific timekeeping records to ensure accurate labor cost allocation for the construction project.
- Compliance: Maintain thorough knowledge of Louisiana labor laws and federal payroll tax regulations to ensure 100% compliance.
- Record Keeping: Manage and update employee databases (Excel-based tracking and HRIS) with high accuracy and confidentiality.
- Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly HR reports, including turnover rates, labor costs, and payroll budget variance.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience: 1-2 years of professional experience in HR or Payroll, preferably within the construction or industrial sector.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is mandatory for data management and reporting.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with payroll software and a solid understanding of US labor compliance (EEOC, FLSA).
- Attributes: High level of integrity, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
