General Purpose
The Production Planner is responsible for overseeing the production process in a manufacturing facility, ensuring products are produced efficiently, on time, and within budget.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Oversee the production process, ensuring products are produced efficiently, on time, and within budget by creating and managing production schedules, coordinating materials, labor and equipment, and resolving any issues that arise to meet delivery deadlines and production goals by working closely with various departments such as Quality, warehousing, stockroom and logistics.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This is an individual contributor role, reporting to the Manufacturing Manager.
Education/Experience Required: 3 years experience of production planning and/or demand planning inventory coordination, supply chain management.
Computer Skills Necessary: Experience with Microsoft software package and SAP ERP system.
Physical Demands/Requirements
Ability to lift 25 pounds multiple times per day, moving torque guns into and out of calibration test stands. This component is important and key for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Work Environment: Work is conducted in an office environment with occasional trips to the production area and stockroom/warehouse.
