Overview
hyrUP is seeking an experienced Billing professional to provide interim support (likely 12-18 months) for our client's Billing Team during a period of transformation. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in managing end-to-end billing processes, reviewing financial and customer invoice data, and supervising junior billing staff. This consultant will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely monthly billing operations while the current team members working on a large transformation initiative.
Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the monthly billing process to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
Review billing-related financial information and customer invoices to ensure compliance with company policies and contractual terms.
Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to lower-level Billing Analysts.
Serve as a subject matter expert on billing operations, acting as a resource for both team members and leadership.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve billing discrepancies and improve processes.
Provide stability and continuity to the Billing function while permanent team members are assigned to transformation-related projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (or equivalent experience).
7 years of progressive experience in billing, accounts receivable, or related functions (manager-level experience required).
Strong knowledge of billing operations, invoicing, and revenue-related processes.
Proven experience supervising and developing junior staff.
Proficiency with billing systems/ERPs (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or equivalent).
Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage competing priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
