Position Overview

We are seeking a highly capable Field & Network Support Technician. This role supports the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of solutions like Hypha VaaN (Vehicle-as-a-Node), integrating Peplink routers, Starlink terminals, and related edge networking infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a solid grounding in networking and routing principles (Layer 2/3) and practical hands-on experience with field installations, IP networking, and connectivity troubleshooting. You’ll work closely with our engineering and product teams to deliver reliable, field-ready communications solutions for mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

·        Deploy, configure, and test VaaN network systems incorporating Peplink LTE/5G routers, Starlink terminals, , and auxiliary network devices.

·        Perform system diagnostics, firmware upgrades, and end-to-end network testing (VPN, WAN failover, QoS, VLANs, routing).

·        Support field installations, including vehicle power integration (12/24V DC), customer systems integration, and commissioning.

·        Assist customers and internal teams in remote troubleshooting, device management, and system monitoring using platforms such as InControl2 and related tools.

·        Document network configurations, installation checklists, and test results to ensure traceability and repeatability.

·        Collaborate with engineering team on product development, prototype builds.

·        Manage local inventory, including routers, antennas, cables, and Starlink hardware.

·        Support lab testing and validation of new firmware, devices, or configurations before fleet-wide rollout.

Core Skills & Experience

·        Degree in Information Technology, Computer Networking, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on industry experience.

·        Minimum 3 years’ experience in networking, IT field services, or telecommunications support.

·        Strong understanding of networking fundamentals – IP addressing, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and VPNs.

·        Experience configuring and supporting routers like Peplink or similar (Cisco, Cradlepoint, Teltonika, etc.).

·        Proficiency with network diagnostics tools (ping, traceroute, Wireshark, iperf, etc.).

·        Proficient working with vehicle low-voltage DC systems, wiring, and test equipment (multimeters, crimping tools, etc.).

·        Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and explain technical concepts clearly.

·        Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain a high standard of workmanship.

Desirable / Bonus Skills

·        Familiarity with Docker, Linux CLI, or local API testing (REST, Postman, curl).

·        Experience with vehicle or mobile installations, including routers, antennas, and DC power distribution.

·        Understanding of GPS, telemetry, or IoT data logging environments.

·        Basic knowledge of firewalls, TLS/SSL certificates, or VPN mesh networks.

·        Certification(s) such as CompTIA Network , CCNA, or Peplink Certified Engineer (PCE).
