Materials Management Leader
Hypertherm Associates is looking for a new Materials Management Leader to join the OMAX team in Kent, WA!
As a Materials Management Leader of the OMAX Warehouse Operations, Logistics, and Production Support team you are responsible for ensuring operational excellence. You will build the organizational capability, drive team engagement, maintain high standards for performance and continuously improve the value streams to meet our customers’ expectations for quality, delivery, performance, and value at the lowest possible cost.
You will make an impact in this role through:
Leadership: Align team activities with company goals; manage performance, development, and workplace safety
Continuous Improvement: Lead and mentor teams in development of continuous improvement skills
Safety: Resolve safety issues, mitigate risks, and support EHS policy development
Quality: Track metrics, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to improve performance metrics
Capacity & Planning: Collaborate with Category Managers, Master Schedulers and Planning team to support production planning and resolve material shortages
Financial Acumen & Reporting: Control costs, manage staffing, and report performance metrics to address gaps through process improvement
Operations Support : Develop and execute production plans; support Front-Line Leaders in meeting targets
Who you are and the experience you bring:
AS degree with 7 years or BS with 3-5 years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment in a lean environment
Excellent ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Intermediate Project Management experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Intermediate presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to apply lean manufacturing principles
Data and financial analytical skills
Preferred Experience that differentiates you:
Green belt certification
ERP and WMS experience (i.e. Oracle)
Location: Kent, Washington
Travel: Minimal to NH or Tradeshows
