Hyperion Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join our EECO team, based out of Richmond, IN reporting to the Operations Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

Quality Management & ISO 9001 Oversight o Serve as the co‑pilot and primary owner of the site’s ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, including maintaining documentation, leading process improvements, preparing for audits, and coordinating corrective actions.

  • Lead internal and external audit activities—plan audit schedules, conduct process audits, document findings, and drive timely closure of nonconformances.
  • Ensure all quality procedures, work instructions, and records remain compliant, current, and effectively implemented across the manufacturing warehouse.

Incoming Inspection & Dock Audits o Oversee all incoming material inspections, ensuring products meet defined specifications, quality standards, and documentation requirements.

  • Perform dock audits to validate supplier shipments, identify nonconformances, and escalate issues promptly to suppliers and internal teams. oDevelop and maintain inspection criteria, sampling plans, and supplier material acceptance standards.
  • RMA Management o Own the RMA process for both suppliers and customers—coordinate returns, perform failure analysis or root cause assessments, and ensure clear communication of findings.
  • Partner with suppliers to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence of issues.
  • Track and report RMA trends, turnaround time, and cost impacts.

Quality Analytics & Performance Tracking o Maintain and deliver routine quality reporting, including Pareto charts, defect trends, and process performance metrics.

  • Lead QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) efforts—facilitate rapid containment, drive root cause analysis, assign corrective actions, and verify effectiveness.
  • Track plant-wide quality KPIs, including scrap, rework, returns, and audit results, and present findings to leadership.

Continuous Improvement & Cross Functional Support o Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Warehouse teams to drive quality improvements and standardize processes.

  • Lead structured problem‑solving activities (5 Why, Fishbone, PDCA, etc.) and support cross-functional improvement initiatives. oTrain and coach employees on quality standards, ISO 9001 requirements, proper documentation practices, and inspection techniques.
  • Support the safety committee, serving as a key participant and, where appropriate, leading or owning specific safety initiatives and improvements.

Documentation, Compliance & Process Control o Ensure accurate, complete, and controlled documentation for all quality records, inspection reports, NCRs, and corrective actions.

  • Oversee calibration schedules for inspection and test equipment, ensuring compliance with ISO and internal requirements.
  • Maintain strong change control practices to ensure quality requirements are built into new processes, products, and supplier changes.

Job Requirements:

  • 35 years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or Process Management.
  • 12 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity
  • 23 years of handson experience maintaining or leading an ISO 9001 Quality

Management System

  • Experience participating in or leading internal/external audits
  • Strong communication skills across production, engineering, supply chain, and leadership.
  • High attention to detail and documentation discipline.
  • Ability to train and coach employees at all levels.
  • Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
  • Ability to lead crossfunctional improvement initiatives.

  • Able to handle confrontation in a professional and constructive manner. Avoids conflict when possible, but does not shy away from addressing issues when necessary. Is a skilled mediator when needed.
