Primary Responsibilities
Quality Management & ISO 9001 Oversight o Serve as the owner of the site’s ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, including maintaining documentation, leading process improvements, preparing for audits, and coordinating corrective actions.
- Lead internal and external audit activities—plan audit schedules, conduct process audits, document findings, and drive timely closure of nonconformances.
- Ensure all quality procedures, work instructions, and records remain compliant, current, and effectively implemented across the manufacturing warehouse.
- Perform dock audits to validate supplier shipments, identify nonconformances, and escalate issues promptly to suppliers and internal teams.
- Develop and maintain inspection criteria, sampling plans, and supplier material acceptance standards.
- Own the RMA process for both suppliers and customers—coordinate returns, perform failure analysis or root cause assessments, and ensure clear communication of findings. oPartner with suppliers to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence of issues.
- Track and report RMA trends, turnaround time, and cost impacts.
- Lead QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) efforts—facilitate rapid containment, drive root cause analysis, assign corrective actions, and verify effectiveness. oTrack plant-wide quality KPIs, including scrap, rework, returns, and audit results, and present findings to leadership.
- Maintain gage calibration and tracking process
- Continuous Improvement & Cross Functional Support o Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Warehouse teams to drive quality improvements and standardize processes.
- Lead structured problem‑solving activities (5 Why, Fishbone, PDCA, etc.) and support cross-functional improvement initiatives. oTrain and coach employees on quality standards, ISO 9001 requirements, proper documentation practices, and inspection techniques.
- Support the safety committee, serving as a key participant and, where appropriate, leading or owning specific safety initiatives and improvements.
- Own calibration schedules for inspection and test equipment, ensuring compliance with ISO and internal requirements.
- Maintain strong change control practices to ensure quality requirements are built into new processes, products, and supplier changes.
- 57 years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or Process Management.
- 2 year associate degree from an accredited institution
- ISO Audit Certification
- 23 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity
- 23 years of handson experience as a manufacturing quality engineer and lead an ISO 9001 Quality Management System
- Experience participating in or leading internal/external audits
- Strong communication skills across production, engineering, supply chain, and leadership.
- High attention to detail and documentation discipline.
- Ability to train and coach employees at all levels.
- Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
- Ability to lead crossfunctional improvement initiatives.
