What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Technician position at Hyperice?

The Product Service Technician processes product and equipment that has been returned due to technical problems or other malfunction. Additionally, the Technician is involved with aspects of shipping and inventory.

Accomplishes tasks in a highly organized, time-sensitive manner that fully adheres to both processes and procedures and to regulatory-body requirements. Additionally, the Technician accurately enters all relevant data and information into systems and databases.

The Technician also: maintains strict confidentiality; offers considered ideas and suggestions regarding product and improving internal procedures/efficiency; contributes positively to supportive professional environment and to working well and productively with co-workers; is reliable, responsible and on time; completes all work in timely, accurate fashion; and conducts him/herself ethically and honestly.

  • Cleans returned products and readies them for product investigation
  • Segregates/quarantines product as appropriate
  • Performs and completes product investigations and testing using appropriate computerized/mechanical methods and tools
  • Tests products to be placed in general inventory
  • Accurately/efficiently enters product, customer and inventory data and information into appropriate company databases
  • Maintains neat/orderly/clean work area
  • Interfaces with, assists and supports the Customer Service team
  • Provides clerical and related assistance to the Engineering Manager, Director of Manufacturing and other team members as needed
  • Offers assistance to shipping and inventory as needed
  • Is alert to discrepancies and issues regarding products, inventory, quarantine and related technical matters and reports them promptly
  • Maintains on-going efforts to increase efficiency and time-saving methods and offers suggestions for consideration

Educational and Experience Requirements

Education Required/Preferred: Associates degree in a technical field

Experience: relevant experience in a technical/service field

Skills/Qualifications/Competencies

  • Able to work well in a fast-paced environment under tight, sometimes rushed deadlines
  • Highly organized, able to plan ahead and able to prioritize time and activity to meet deadlines
  • Can effectively carry out product repair and related matters
  • Works confidently with mechanical and electronic tools and equipment
  • Takes direction well and promptly/positively responds to it
  • Computer proficiency, understanding of databases and meticulous data-entry skills
  • Operates small business/technical machines
  • Always follows up and completes open matters appropriately and in timely fashion
  • Developed oral/written communications skills
  • Ability to consider “the bigger picture” and to think comprehensively

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year

Schedule:
