About The Role
Job Title: IT Specialist
Location: Guilford, Connecticut
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our IT department as an IT Helpdesk/Support Specialist. In this role, you will provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. This is an on-site position in Guilford, CT.
Key Responsibilities
- Tier 1 and tier 2 response to user requests for technical support.
- Triage, assign, update, or resolve open tickets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware and software issues.
- Document solutions and update knowledge bases for future reference.
- Assist in setting up new user accounts, hardware, and software installations.
- Escalate complex problems to senior IT staff as needed.
- Assist with ensuring compliance and regulatory requirements are met; HIPAA, SOC2, HITRUST.
- Participate in on-call and after-hours support as necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent work experience or relevant certifications may be considered.
- At least 2 years prior IT Helpdesk support experience in a corporate environment.
- Knowledge of Windows and Mac OS operating systems, Linux is a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and common IT tools, including Single Sign-On, system management/mobile device management, cloud-based storage, and web-based conferencing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Cybersecurity experience is a plus.
Physical Demands
- This is a full-time, on-site role based out of Hyperfine’s office in Guilford, CT.
- Available nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
