Your Mission
We’re looking for a proactive and adaptable HR Business Partner to support our US operations. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this role is ideal for an experienced HR generalist who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and working across a variety of HR functions. You’ll be the go-to HR contact for our US team, providing hands-on support across recruitment, employee relations, compliance and more. While you’ll work independently day-to-day, you’ll also collaborate with our global HR team in Canada and Australia to ensure alignment and share best practices.
Your Day-to-Day Adventures
- Administer and support US employee benefit plans, including day-to-day management and input into plan design.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation across Colorado, California and Texas.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for US roles.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, employee relations, and performance matters.
- Act as the US liaison between HR and payroll to ensure smooth operations.
- Support training, coaching, and development initiatives in partnership with the broader HR team.
- Lead and contribute to HR projects and initiatives within the US region.
- Conduct exit interviews and share insights with leadership to support continuous improvement.
- Stay informed on HR regulations and ensure compliance with relevant laws.
- Collaborate with HR colleagues in Canada and Australia to maintain consistency and share knowledge.
Who You Are
You’re an experienced HR professional who’s confident working independently but values collaboration and continuous learning. You’re detail-oriented, people-focused, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities. You bring a strong foundation in HR practices and compliance, and you’re excited to contribute to a mission-driven organization in the renewable energy space.
What You Bring
- 5 years of HR experience in a generalist or business partner role.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or a related field (preferred).
- Solid understanding of employment legislation in Colorado and California, familiarity with Texas is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and credibility.
- Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.
- Ability to work independently while staying connected to the broader team.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and solving problems with a practical, people-first approach.
- Experience in the energy or clean tech industry is an asset.
