Under the direction of the President/CEO, the Quality Manager will coordinate, implement, and manage the Quality Assurance functions to assure that the products manufactured by Hydro-Thermal are consistent with company quality standards and customer requirements. The Quality Assurance Manager will also assure that the systems at Hydro-Thermal are compliant with the current ISO standard.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
B.S. Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience in process/manufacturing engineering fundamentals and/or quality systems management

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Ensure Hydro-Thermal’s compliance to ISO quality standards by prioritizing, scheduling and implementing related activities.
- Establish, implement and maintain quality procedures, standards, forms and related documentation for:
- Contract Review
- Risk Analysis
- Design Review
- Design Transfer
- Document Control
- Purchased Material/Services
- In-Process Verification
- Product Validation
- Final Product Acceptance
- Corrective Action
- Customer Complaints
- Quality Audits (Internal and Supplier)
- Develop and implement inspection requirements and sampling techniques, using statistical process control.
- Identify, research, recommend and purchase measurement equipment necessary to ensure product is manufactured to the company’s quality standards and specifications.
- Develop and implement process control procedures and activities, ensuring finished products (parts, heaters, systems, tests, service, engineering services, etc.) comply with specifications and standards.
- Perform or oversee final inspection on new product, first-run products and batch processing
- Train employees on the quality system requirements and related practices.
- Assist employees in developing work instructions that support the quality system procedures and company activities
- Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) with allowable limits to measure company functions and performance.
- Accumulate and analyze KPI data, publish monthly findings and report quarterly analysis to management.
- Improve the level of quality and productivity by developing and leading cross-functional teams in identifying and resolving quality problems.
- Review customer complaints and work with internal and external resources to define and implement corrective action
- Provide assistance to customers regarding quality problems or concerns.
- Lead the company’s ISO quality system re-certification activities (to include maintenance, surveillance, and re-certification)
- Ensure compliance with all housekeeping procedures and all quality and safety regulations.
- Lead six sigma quality initiatives and programs
- Communicate inconsistencies with President, Operations, Engineering, and Purchasing. Find solutions and actively become part of the solution.
- Support and mentor employee initiated continuous improvement activities by assisting in: 5s audits and lean training
- Strong Written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical skills and ability to interpret data
- Decision making, problem solving and organizational skills
- Ability to work jointly across departments
- Proven ability to train and lead others in quality programs
- Measurement techniques
- Minimum 10 years of experience required with 5 years relevant leadership experience in a quality assurance environment desired
- Six-Sigma Black Belt certification and MBA strongly preferred or equivalent experience.
