IT Support Specialist II
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist with five years’ experience to assist our IT department. This role offers flexibility to work remotely, with required commutes to our Garden City, Kansas location. The support person will help maintain and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues to ensure smooth daily operations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide remote support to employees for computer, software, and network issues.
- Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, printers, and other devices.
- Visit local offices occasionally to provide on-site technical support.
- Help manage user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.
- Document support requests, solutions, and maintain basic IT records.
- Collaborate with the IT manager to escalate or resolve complex issues.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years’ experience in IT support or related role.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Must live within commuting distance of the Garden City, Kansas location.
Skills:
- Proficient with Windows and Android platforms.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., Wi-Fi, VPN, TCP/IP).
- Familiarity with servers, VMs, and SaaS platforms are highly desired.
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft 365 (e.g., Azure, CRM, Entra, Intune, Cloud PC)
- Familiarity with common business software (e.g., Microsoft Office, CRM, ERP)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
