The Quality Engineer is responsible for assisting with production, customer and supplier quality issues. This role will have a direct impact on the safety and quality of our products to make our customers successful.
Core Responsibilities Of Our Quality Engineer
- Coordinate investigation and drive corrective action to customer and internal quality issues
- Track FPR (First Pass Rejects), provide reporting and facilitate actions to reduce
- Be a point of contact for Hydro-Gear problem solving process
- Ensure issues are appropriately prioritized and addressed
- Drive root cause analysis and effective actions
- Develop systems and measurements to highlight opportunities for improvement throughout assembly
- Implement and lead projects to address improvement opportunities
- Audit production processes to ensure compliance to process standards
- Support customer management process and lead efforts on site at customer facilities as required
- Bachelor’s degree or 5 or more year’s related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 5 years of quality experience preferred; CQE certification from ASQ is a plus
- Expert in problem solving and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills
- Great verbal and written communication skills to present information to groups
- Experience with basic inspection tools and systems
- Proficient with Microsoft products
