Brief Description

The Supplier Quality Engineer Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the development and support of all staff and processes in the department to ensure optimal supplier relationships and compliance with Hydro-Gear’s quality standards and requirements. In this role, you will provide technical guidance and coaching in a safe, clean, climate-controlled environment that will enable you to perform at your best. Job Type: Full-Time located in either Sullivan, IL or Princeton, KY or Huntingdon, TN.

Core Responsibilities Of Our Supplier Quality Engineer Supervisor

• Role reports to Director of Quality
• Ensure staff is properly trained, and evaluated to meet the department needs
• Supervise and set expectations and priorities for the supplier quality engineers and supplier quality specialists across all Hydro-Gear plants
• Using project management skills, ensure safe, proper and timely support to meet supplied parts meet Hydro-Gear’s quality requirements
• Collaborating with cross-functional peers and leaders to deliver projects
• Participating in supplier selection and supplier performance evaluation (scheduled travel 30%-40%)
• Build, inspire, motivate and mentor employees
• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent four-year college or technical school and/or 6 or more year’s related experience and /or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in supervisory or leadership role (i.e. Quality Manager, Quality Supervisor, Engineering Manager, Engineering Superintendent, Engineering Supervisor)
• Auditing experience is required
• Experience with Excel, Word and statistical analysis tools like Minitab
• Up to 40% scheduled travel to other Hydro-Gear plants and suppliers
