What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facility Maintenance Technician position at Hydrex Environmental Consulting, LLC?
This position requires general assistance with maintenance of shop, building, property, equipment, and vehicles. All necessary training will be provided.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Under limited supervision, the Facility Maintenance Technician performs routine repair and maintenance activities related to Hydrex buildings, facilities, and equipment.
- Routine assistance with shop/warehouse maintenance (sweeping, removing trash)
- Maintain building cleanliness inside and out
- Keep hallways and kitchen floors clean
- Lawn care as needed (mowing, raking, leave blowing, pick up limbs, etc.)
- Maintain grounds clean (parking areas, lawn, including houses on property)
- Assist with cleaning vehicles and UTV’s (washing and vacuuming as needed)
- Assists in moving furniture and other supplies needed.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Attention to detail and ability to work unsupervised (once trained)
- Must be able to work in outside elements (heat, cold, and around natural hazards)
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds throughout the workday as required
- Ability to learn and follow procedures of Hydrex Environmental
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of plumbing systems (maintenance and small repairs)
- Working knowledge of common electrical systems
- Installing fans, outlets, and lighting fixtures, resets clocks
- Working knowledge of general maintenance and carpentry practices
- Patching drywall; touch up and minor interior paint
- Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance
- Working understanding of general mechanical principles
