Cook – Assisted Living Facility

Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Cook to prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals for residents of our assisted living facility. The ideal candidate takes pride in preparing quality food, maintaining a clean kitchen, and providing meals that meet the dietary needs of older adults.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve daily meals according to established menus and schedules.
- Prepare meals that accommodate residents’ dietary restrictions and special nutritional needs.
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
- Monitor food inventory, assist with ordering supplies, and minimize food waste.
- Ensure meals are prepared and served on time.
- Work collaboratively with facility staff to meet residents’ needs.
Qualifications
- Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare facility, nursing home, or assisted living setting preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to prepare meals for a large group.
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently.
- Ability to follow menus, recipes, and dietary instructions.
