CORE ASSEMBLER - 1st Shift

Requirements

You will make an impact and be successful in this role with the following skills and responsibilities:

Core assembler is responsible for building cores for Heat Exchangers. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•  Needs to understand the HYDAC Quality Policy and Quality Objectives and how they are related to this position.
•  Must read and interpret production work instructions, production orders, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and drawings.
•  Perform visual inspection on components. Scrap non-conforming material.

Entry Level Core Assembly Technician Position. 

• May require 0-1 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Be able to build cores per BOM and prints. 
• Be able to operate a turbulator saw. 
• Inspect parts for damage and use SAP transactions. 
• Be able to complete task in a timely manner. 
• Reports to a Lead or supervisor.

Skills and Attributes

• Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English.
• Must pay attention to details. This position requires dexterity and fine motor skills in catching material flaws.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations (add, subtract, and divide).
• Must be able to independently seek assistance from supervision and/or other departments in order to perform given tasks.
• Must be able to stand 8-10 hour days. 
• Lifting up to 25 pounds infrequently.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED; or prior assembly experience.

Safety and Personal Protective Equipment

• Must adhere to all safety rules in force for the location you are in while performing your job responsibilities. This includes at a customer or supplier location.
• Must meet requirements for PPE in specific manufacturing areas when you are in those areas including safety shoes and safety glasses.
