Position Overview
We are seeking a detail oriented and highly motivated Associate, Commerce Strategy & Operations (Seasonal) to join our team for a six month engagement with the potential for extension based on business needs. The ideal candidate will play a key role in optimizing profitability, ensuring seamless purchase process, and enhancing inventory productivity. Collaborating with global headquarters and cross-functional partners, the Associate, Commerce Strategy & Operations (Seasonal) will support the execution of HYBE Artists merchandising strategies and contribute to the overall business objectives.
Duration: This is a temporary, seasonal position designed to support our production team during an upcoming period of high-volume artist releases, tours, and project launches. While this role has a defined duration, you will be fully embedded in the HYBE America culture, working alongside our team to bring incredible artist merchandise to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with internal and external partners, including headquarters in Korea and E-Commerce platform partner, to facilitate order placement, track expected product availability, and oversee export/import activities for inbound product flow.
- Support and facilitate the creation and maintenance of purchase orders, inbound deliveries, and invoice processing, ensuring streamlined procurement and financial operations in our ERP system (SAP).
- Assist in developing seasonal and event-driven merchandising strategies that fuel growth across B2B, B2C, and online channels.
- Assist in the management of the inventory lifecycle at the SKU level, facilitating markdowns and liquidation strategies to optimize inventory productivity.
- Utilize analytics tools and cross-functional partnerships to share feedback about product performance, forecast sales, and identify business opportunities.
- Support the preparation of comprehensive sales reports and conduct ad hoc analysis to uncover growth and profitability opportunities.
- Collaborate with our logistics team to optimize inbound orders and ensure efficient distribution of products.
- Provide essential administrative support to the Senior Manager for event-driven projects, including offline pop-up events and new business development.
- Stay abreast of trends in the music and entertainment business to contribute insights that inform future strategies.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in both Korean and English required (oral & written).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Merchandising, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in a relevant industry (Merchandising, Wholesale, Supply Chain Management, or E-Commerce).
- Experience managing a high-sales-volume category (high SKU count, heavy seasonality, high revenue).
- Familiarity with Supply Chain Systems; proficiency in SAP ERP software is a plus.
- Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Skilled at managing multiple priorities and consistently meeting deadlines.
Physical Requirements
The touring merchandise role is highly physical and demands stamina, agility, and resilience in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Candidates must be able to meet the following physical demands, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Lifting & Carrying: Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry heavy boxes, bins, and cases weighing up to 50 lbs on a daily basis.
- Stamina & Mobility: Capacity to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach overhead for extended periods (often 8 to 12 hours per shift) during load-in, setup, showtime, and load-out.
- Agility & Coordination: Comfort navigating diverse venue environments, which may include climbing stairs, ramps, and loading docks while transporting inventory.
- Environmental Adaptability: Ability to work in various conditions, including crowded indoor spaces, loud environments, and outdoor venues with exposure to fluctuating weather conditions and temperatures
Salary Range
The salary range for this job is $75,000-$80,000 annually. This is a good faith effort at the time of posting. This range is base salary only and does not include benefits and any other compensatory components of the role.
