The Pastry Cook 2 should be comfortable in a fast-paced kitchen and passionate to learn, grow in the world of baking and pastry. This Intermediate Pastry Cook position requires good communication and preferably 1-2 years of Pastry experience to cover intermediate baking and culinary skills. A Culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred. Candidates should be comfortable in producing at a high-volume level in a safe and efficient manner, and capable of producing a consistent product that meets and exceeds guests needs in a timely manner. The hourly rate range for this position is $30.20/hour to $30.80/hour. The starting rate for this position is $30.20/hour. This position also has an established rate for colleagues who have remained in the position for four years or more with Hyatt, which is currently offered at $30.80/hour.

Qualifications
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
- 1-2 years of previous pastry experience preferred
- Culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred
- Capable of following recipes and able to communicate clearly with coworkers and management
- Knowledge of proper temperatures and storage
- Basic decorating and finishing skills
- Understanding of pastry terminology and scaling accurately
- Ability to multi-task and produce at a high-volume level
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Resourceful, with ability to work independently and as a team
- Willingness and desire to learn and grow
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays
Salary : $30 - $31
