Experienced Pastry Cook  – Full Time | $23.34–$28.64/hr | Equivalent to $48,547-Y.571 annually | (based on experience, skills, and education)

Location: Redmond, WA

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Weekdays Only

Lavish Roots is hiring a full-time Pastry Cook to join our talented pastry team!

About the Role:

We’re looking for someone with strong pastry skills, great communication, and the flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, professional kitchen. You’ll be stepping into a well-established, supportive team with streamlined systems and procedures to help you hit the ground running. This is a hands-on role that requires advanced pastry skills and knowledge.

What You’ll Do:

    •    Execute desserts based on provided menus and set recipes

    •    Bake and produce pastries like scones, muffins, cookies, cakes, and cupcakes

    •    Prepare puddings, mousses, and individually garnished desserts

    •    Decorate and finish cakes

    •    All pastry production is done in-house

What we're looking for: 

• Work safely and maintains a clean workspace

• Project a positive, patient, and motivated attitude

• Operate designated equipment with confidence, familiarity, precision, speed and in a safe manner

• Team player with great communication skills

• Exemplary attendance record with near-perfect punctuality

• Must have a valid King County Food Handler Permit within 10 days of starting 
• Must have non-slip shoes in the kitchen 
• Must complete all required training - Learn, Legal, and Privacy 
• Ability to understand and communicate basic English (speaking, writing, reading) 
• Ability to lift and move 10 - 40 lbs. 
• Ability to do heavy and repetitive hand and arm motion involved in production and clean up  
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and balance to perform job tasks 
• Ability to successfully pass a background check, in accordance with Washington State's Fair Chance Employment Act, RCW chapter 49.94
