About The Role – Host/Greeter (Part Time)

The Host/Greeter plays a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by providing a warm welcome and setting the tone for each visit. This position influences the overall dining experience through attentive interactions, including assisting with seating arrangements and offering thoughtful menu recommendations. Candidate must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Previous Host and OpenTable experience is preferred.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

• Restock any necessary items during service hours.
• Ensures the delivery of brand promise and provide excellent service to guests and internal customers in other departments as appropriate.
• Handles all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
• Works closely with other employees in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.
• Fully conversant with all aspects of the OpenTable System.
• Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all Food and Beverage items in the menu

Wage Information:

The hourly rate for this position is $21.50/hr. This is the pay rate for this position that Hyatt Regency La Jolla reasonably expects to pay.

Qualifications

• Previous Host experience is preferred
• Working knowledge of OpenTable
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• The ability to stand for long periods.
• Flexible Availability: Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required
• Ability to lift, push, pull a moderate amount of weight
