What does the ROLE entail?
- Produce a consistent, quality product that meets and exceeds the guests’ expectations in a timely manner
- Professional knowledge of cooking ingredients, procedures and experience in the culinary world
- This position will work a single station in the kitchen and require supervision and training
- Responsible for maintaining a clean workspace
- Responsible for communicating and working successfully in a team environment
- This position also assists other cooks to ensure that Event Orders are prepped and prepared
- Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation
- Demonstrates Hyatt Values: Empathy, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, Experimentation, Wellbeing
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced, team oriented, environment
- Culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred
- 1 year of previous experience preferred
- Capable of standing for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Candidate should be able to perform all basic cooking skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and prepare cold food in a timely manner with regards to presentation
- Takes pride in a job well done
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including, weekends and holidays
