What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Manager position at Hyatt Regency Wichita?
The Group Sales Manager is responsible for selling guest rooms, meeting space and other services to customer groups. The Sales Manager will manage accounts, conduct site inspections, and solicit and generate business. Duties also include preparing and presenting effective proposals, maintain well organized documentation and reports, utilizing Hyatt systems and coordinating customer service requirements as appropriate.
Description of Duty: |
Engages other team members in discussions to review group complexity to avoid service challenges and failures proactively |
Plan, upsell, and detail groups including verification and modification of space requirements, times, equipment, menus, themes, decorations, etc. |
Communicate the requirements of clients to all hotel departments through the use of Hyatt systems and internal communications |
Prospect for new business through solicitation, networking, leads, and cold calls |
Move throughout the property to conduct site visits and inspections that showcase the hotel at it’s best. |
Execute pre-qualifications and rate negotiations, establish files, issue contracts, process bookings and appropriate follow up with correspondences for clients. |
Prepare information for, meet with, and entertain clients as deemed appropriate to generate potential business |
Improve hotel visibility by conducting outside sales calls, attending trade shows and market segment related events. |
Meet or exceed established monthly, quarterly and annual targeting sales goals and profit margins |
Thoroughly review contracts before events and post events to ensure details are correct. |
Maintain an active list of accounts to ensure continuous relationship development |
Provide a service culture that generates positive guest satisfaction, sustained revenue achievement, and excellent internal communications |
Salary : $40,000 - $55,000
