What are the responsibilities and job description for the Events Server position at Hyatt Regency Wichita?
Position Objectives |
It is the primary responsibility of the Server to prepare event space and equipment and clean up at the conclusion of the event. During the event the Server will be responsible for serving food and beverages and providing table service to assigned areas, to include bussing. Ultimately, Servers are responsible for taking care of guests throughout the event to ensure they are comfortable and relaxed during their time at the banquet or event. All duties are performed in accordance with regulatory and departmental policies, practices and procedures.
Qualifications |
- Must be Twenty One (21) or older
- Minimum of 1 years of server or catering experience preferred
- Available to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to be on feet and in motion for long periods of time
- Ability to lift moderate amounts of weight
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred
- Excellent verbal communication and listening skills
- Ability to follow directions
- Excellent customer service skills
Education & Skills |
- Preferred; Food Handlers card
- Required; mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Required; effective oral and written communication skills in order to interact with all employee levels and guests within the hotel
- Required; Ability to multi task, prioritize and handle conflicting demands
- Required; Flexible with the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing priorities and situations
- Required; Sold under pressure, professional and able to maintain composure in handing complaints and other feedback
