The Hyatt Regency Schaumburg, Chicago is seeking an experienced and dependable Engineer / Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional who takes pride in maintaining a safe, well-functioning property and understands the importance Engineering plays in both the guest experience and hotel operations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Perform preventive maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Respond to guest-room and operational maintenance requests.
• Troubleshoot and repair building systems and equipment.
• Perform general electrical, plumbing, HVAC and mechanical repairs within authorized scope.
• Inspect equipment and property areas for maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain accurate preventive-maintenance and repair records.
• Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues.
• Follow established safety procedures, including applicable Lockout/Tagout requirements.
• Assist with maintaining guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces in excellent working condition.
• Work collaboratively with hotel departments to minimize disruption to guests and operations.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Ideal candidates will have prior hotel, commercial building or facilities maintenance experience and a strong working knowledge of general building systems. Candidates should be safety-conscious, dependable, comfortable troubleshooting problems and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Availability to work a flexible hotel schedule, which may include evenings, weekends and holidays, is required based on business needs.

$34.11–$37.55 per hour
