The Sales Manager is responsible for prospecting for new clients, making cold calls, writing and negotiating contracts, and conducting site tours. Must be willing to have involvement in local tourism associations.A dedicated significant portion of time to direct sales consisting of outside sales calls, property tours, and responding to all RFPs.Consistently work on the development of new business opportunities.Assist hotel in meeting or exceeding assigned revenue goals, primarily, but not limited to: Rooms, Meeting Room, Incremental, and RevPAR Index.Performs Sales Audits to ensure information accuracy in property management systems, sales software systems, and general reporting.Participates in yield management meetings as necessary.Participate in weekly sales meetings and all hotel-related meetings as directed by the Director of Sales.Develop special sales activities and promotions and monitor return on investment.Ensures that property has maximized use of all company, brand, and local CVB programs.Conduct market analysis to determine client needs, occupancy potential, rates, etc. for hotels. Job RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of hotel sales experience. This person will be responsible for selling to all markets.
