Paralegal

Overview
The Corporate Paralegal is responsible for working with the Corporate Attorneys to resolve customer complaints, participate in subpoena and contract workflows and maintain records of the same, assist with creating reports, and to support the U.S. Corporate Attorney.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and work with attorney(s) in the maintenance of Intellectual Property fillings.
- Receive, process, upload to legal system(s) and investigate customer complaints. Work with attorneys and business departments to obtain information and draft responses.
- Provide administrative support to U.S. Corporate Attorneys, including assistance with litigation planning, preparing litigation reports and coordinating with outside counsel.
- Assist in maintaining accurate and organized legal records and contract documentation.
- Maintain and/or create customer complaints, litigation, IP infringement and other reports consistent with company policies and as needed.
- Maintain records of subpoenas received by company and draft responses.
- Provide support during State examinations and investigations by compiling information, preparing reports, filing information in various state systems.
- Provide back-up support for other teammates as needed.
- Understands and adheres to legal/compliance standards included in corporate policies and accepts ownership for accomplishing existing tasks that fulfill legal/compliance requirements. Reports compliance violations when identified.
Qualifications
Education
Basic - Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
Preferred - Bachelor degree from an accredited four-year organization/university.
Certifications - not required, Paralegal certificate or experience in law firm environment preferred.
Experience
Job requires 1 to 3 years of previous related work experience.
