The EMS Dispatcher will be responsible for tasks including, but not limited to:
- Answering inbound calls promptly and politely
- Listening to the caller and determining what type of assistance they require
- Directing crew movement and allocation of emergency resources based on system status management
- Scheduling non-emergency transports and courtesy shuttle appointments
- Thorough documentation of each incident
- Preparation of daily run reports
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Drivers License
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Act 33, 34, and 73 clearances
PREFERRED
- PA Certified EMT or Nationally Registered EMT with ability to become PA Certified
- AHA BLS for the Healthcare Provider (or equivalent)
- EVOC/EVDT
- At least 2 years EMS experience
- ICS 100, 200, 700, 800
- Certified Emergency Medical Dispatcher
